Senator Ben Stevens moved and asked unanimous consent that the                                      
recede message on CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 414(JUD) "An Act                                            
relating to filling a vacancy in the office of United States senator, and                           
to the definition of 'political party,'" which had been held on the                                 
Secretary's desk (page 3238), be taken up at this time. Without                                     
objection, it was so ordered.

amendment and recommended the body vote no.
